Autopsy of Norwich Woman Shows Inconclusive Results: Police
An investigation into the death of a 32-year-old Norwich woman remains active.

A port-mortem procedure to determine the cause of death of a Norwich woman at New London’s Lawrence + Memorial Hospital revealed inconclusive results.
According to The Day, the police log in New London showed a call from L + M Hospital, regarding a potential drug overdose.

New London Deputy Police Chief Peter Reichard informed The Day that the call pertained to a suspicious death. A hospital spokesperson told The Day that 32-year-old Roberta Karr was discovered unresponsive in the hospital.

Update: 3:48 p.m. Wednesday, May 4:
The untimely death investigation of 32-year-old Roberta L. Karr of Norwich at L&M Hospital, 365 Montauk Ave., New London, on Tuesday, May 3, 2016 remains active.
"At this time the cause of death is unknown and the medical examiner's office is assisting," New London Deputy Police Chief Peter Reichard said in a prepared statement.

Update 6:20 p.m. May 3: New London Police are investigating a suspicious death at the hospital, according to the Hartford Courant. It is unrelated to the bomb threat that forced the lockdown of the emergency room.
Update: New London Police evacuated Lawrence + Memorial Hospital patients from the emergency room at approximately 4 p.m. Tuesday, May 3.
According to The Day, police were called to the hospital and investigated an undisclosed incident. Whether the two incidents have a connection is unclear as of Tuesday afternoon.
