• Fire Breaks Out At Orange Home's Garage (patch.com) — Residents in Orange may have noticed emergency crews on New England Lane Tuesday evening, when a garage fire filled a home with smoke. Orange Volunteer Fire Department quickly put out the blaze, ventilated the house, and reported no injuries, while the fire marshal investigates the cause.
   

• Avangrid utilities support 78 nonprofits to the tune of $450,000 in tax credits (westfaironline.com) — Orange-based Avangrid utilities have awarded nearly $450,000 in Neighborhood Assistance Act tax credits to 78 nonprofits across Connecticut, backing energy-efficiency upgrades and facility improvements. The program, supported by United Illuminating, Southern Connecticut Gas, and Connecticut Natural Gas, helps community centers, theaters, universities, and housing groups cut energy costs so they can focus more resources on their missions.
