Daddio, Federowicz, Gurdak, Thomas: Recent Death Notices From Oxford And Seymour

Condolences are extended to the families and friends of those who have recently died.

OXFORD-SEYMOUR, CT — Here are some recent death notices from Oxford and Seymour.

Vincent Daddio Jr., 88, of Seymour, beloved husband of Jean (Ryder) Daddio, entered peaceful rest on May 4, 2025 at his home surrounded by family. Vincent was a U.S. Army veteran and was proud to serve his country. The proud owner and proprietor of Daddio’s Auto Parts and Daddio’s Rt. 8 Containers, he was through and through a car enthusiast, especially antique cars. He loved his 1931 Auburn (that his parents went on their honeymoon in) and would drive it, along with other antique cars, in Seymour parades, often carrying veterans and dignitaries.

Diane (Fattarusso) Federowicz of Oxford, beloved wife of William Federowicz, passed away on May 2, her 71st birthday, surrounded by her beloved family. She was employed as a medical technologist at Danbury Hospital for years until her retirement in 2018. Diane will be remembered for generously opening her heart and home to family and friends. It didn't matter if you were a co-worker, neighbor, or friend - she made you feel like family - because to Diane, celebrating family was the way she lived.

She loved to cook and she enjoyed travel, especially going to Colorado. Naomi had a genuine appreciation for life’s simple things - sitting together with good friends, listening to James Taylor, engaging in meaningful conversations; wanting quality interactions as opposed to dinners out or going to a movie.

He graduated from Seymour High School, Class of 1975, and served his country in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Hermitage with tours in the Mediterranean and Persian Gulf.
