Great Campus Accomplishments By Oxford College Students

Miami University, Oxford OH

• Oxford resident Bri Gomerez traveled in summer 2024 to Baja to study desert and marine landscapes through ecological and social field methods. As a student in Miami University's biology department, Gomerez is earning a master's degree through Project Dragonfly's Global Field Program (GFP).

New York Institute of Technology, Old Westbury NY ***

• During summer 2024, a group of students from New York Institute of Technology's College of Osteopathic Medicine (NYITCOM) and School of Health Professions, including Ariella Bourdeau of Oxford, traveled to Costa Rica with the Center for Global Health to learn about healthcare systems and provide meaningful and sustainable change to the Costa Rican communities they visited. The Center for Global Health is a collaboration between NYITCOM and the School of Health Professions that is dedicated to developing healthcare professionals who are empathetic leaders and change agents, ready to tackle the global burden of disease and health disparities at home and abroad.
