The Oxford Historical Society will host its annual tractor meet Oct. 5 from noon to 4 p.m. on the grounds of the Twitchell-Rowland Homestead Museum, 60 Towner Lane. At this free family-friendly event, attendees will get to see adzes, a horse harness, saws, and other pieces of early agricultural equipment that were once stored in an area used for egg incubation that owner Frank Phillips found.
A variety of old-time farm machines are expected at the event as well and attendees can also see the new exhibition of antique and vintage tools from the former Mosavich Farm at the corner of Chestnut Tree Hill Road and Route 42. The museum will also be open for docent-led tours.
In the event of rain, the event will be canceled.
