James J. Rackiewicz passed on November 7th, 2024.
James was known for his love of his family and the outdoors.

James Joseph Rackiewicz, lovingly known as "Jim," passed away peacefully on November 7, 2024, at the age of 58, with his loving family at his side. Born on October 30, 1966, in Bridgeport, Connecticut, Jim grew up in Milford before settling in Oxford, where he built a beautiful life with his family.
A proud graduate of Platt Tech High School's Class of 1984, Jim studied Electro Mechanical. His technical skills and passion led him to begin his career at Home Technologies in 1990, where he was known for his dedication and expertise. In 2015, Jim took the bold step of founding his own business, Secure Environments, which he successfully ran up until his passing.
Jim found joy in life’s simple pleasures. He loved spending long summer days on Lake Zoar, skiing the snowy slopes of Vermont in the winter, and tinkering with the muscle cars he collected and cherished over the years. His family and friends will remember him for his adventurous spirit, humor, and love of the outdoors.
Jim is preceded in death by his loving parents, Joseph John Rackiewicz Jr. and Sharon Susan (Nicolett) Rackiewicz, whose love and guidance shaped the man he became. Jim is survived by his beloved wife, Laura (Williams) Rackiewicz, and his two sons, Thomas and Alan, who were his greatest pride and joy.

Jim’s extended family includes his Aunt Marion Clare and dear cousins, Jeff (Jennifer) & Alison Clare.
Jim’s warmth, laughter, and adventurous spirit will be deeply missed. His legacy of kindness, determination, and love will continue to live on in those who knew and loved him.
