Local Hero: Aaron Smith Quietly Makes Life Better In Oxford

OXFORD, CT — When times are tough, heroes emerge. We all know someone who's making a difference right now as we live through unprecedented and changing times.

What does the local hero do?

Has planted and cares for the community garden at the property of the Trinity Episcopal Church in Seymour.

Why do you believe the local hero should be recognized or honored?

Aaron has planted the community garden in hopes of bringing fresh, nutritious food to the surrounding neighborhoods. The vegetables in the garden are for the neighbors picking or they are picked and put in the Blessing Pantry 24/7 food pantry.

What's one thing you want everyone to know about the local hero?

Aaron gives 100% of his heart with each seed he plants!!!
