OXFORD, CT — Despite not being endorsed by town Republicans at a summertime caucus, incumbent First Selectman George Temple and Selectman Arnold Jensen handily won spots on the Nov. 4 municipal ballot in a primary Tuesday.

Official vote totals posted on the Oxford town clerks web page indicate Temple received 996 votes to 739 for Jeffrey Luff. Jensen garnered 993 votes to easily outdistance Rob Boroski, who had 723.

Luff and Boroski had been endorsed by the Oxford Republican Town Committee at its caucus, but voters in the primary opted for the years of experience of Temple and Jensen.
