Oxford Fire Department Celebrates 75 Years With Community Service
The fire department will host a head-shaving event on Saturday for the St. Baldrick's Foundation.

After 75 years of service, the Oxford Center Volunteer Fire Company #1 continues to give back to the community with a parade and carnival to celebrate the anniversary.
Located at the Oxford Town Hall, the carnival will be held on Friday evening from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., and on Saturday from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. There will be food, games and rides for residents to enjoy.
Following the same route as the Memorial Day parade, the anniversary parade will begin on Saturday at 5 p.m. on Oxford Road and will end at the carnival.

St. Baldrick’s Foundation, a charity that funds research to find cures for childhood cancer, is also sponsoring an event at the carnival on Saturday from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. as a fundraiser for their charity, according to the Republican-American.
