Oxford Firefighters Respond To Fully Involved Camper Fire

Oxford fire crews responded to a reported brush fire on Blueberry Lane that turned out to be a fully involved camper, officials say.

OXFORD, CT — Firefighters responded to a reported brush fire Saturday afternoon, which turned out to be a camper on fire, officials said.

Oxford Center Volunteer Fire Company said crews were dispatched on December 20th, around 4:30 p.m., to the area of Blueberry Lane and Pope Road. When firefighters arrived, they found a camper fully engulfed in flames.

The fire was quickly extinguished, and crews ensured the area was safe before clearing the scene. No injuries were reported. Oxford EMS also responded to assist.
