Oxford To Receive $3.4 Million For Trail Development
The town is receiving the funds to construct a multi-use path along Route 67.

OXFORD, CT — The town will receive $3.4 million in funding to construct a multi-use path, complete with sidewalks and pedestrian bridges, along Route 67 in Oxford, according to First Selectman of Oxford George Temple. The funding was announced Tuesday in a press conference with U.S. Sen. Richard Blumenthal.
The multi-use trail will run parallel to Route 67 between Seymour and Southford, allowing pedestrians and bicyclists to use the Route 67 corridor.
The trail will connect to both the Larkin State Bridle Trail and the Naugatuck River Greenway Trail.

This federal funding will allow Oxford to continue constructing their portion of the trail between Dutton Road and Quarry Walk. Oxford recently completed the first section of trail between Town Hall and Municipal Center and Dutton Road.
