Pair Of Bear Sightings Reported In Oxford

OXFORD, CT — Bears have been getting into goat and chicken pens in Oxford recently, and Friends of the Oxford Animal Shelter are warning residents to be on the look-out.

Where the incidents occurred were not disclosed, but it was reported on two separate occasions in recent days.

If such activity is spotted, the friends group encourages residents to contact the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection's wildlife division at 860-424-3333.
