Renown Dermatology Practice Celebrates Opening at Quarry Walk

Dermatology Physicians of Connecticut Launches Tenth Location in CT

Dermatology Physicians of Connecticut celebrated the opening of their tenth location last Thursday at Quarry Walk in Oxford Connecticut. President of the Greater Valley Chamber, Bill Purcell, officiated the ribbon cutting ceremony with Loyd Godwin, MD and Owner, along with Kristin Torre, MD, the Oxford practices’ lead Physician. Nearly fifty local professionals and community leaders attended to commence the opening and share a lite lunch together at the new practice. The Dermatology Physicians of Connecticut Oxford team provided a walkthrough of the patient rooms and shared how they will support the local community with comprehensive dermatological care for adults and children.

Dr. Godwin opened his first practice in 2013 with the goal of building a team of the finest dermatologists in CT that would provide the highest standards of personalized care. His approach to medicine is simple: Put the patient first. The other medical facilities are in Shelton, Norwalk, Branford, Hamden, Woodbridge, Fairfield, New Haven, New London and Stamford. The practice focuses on medical, surgical, pediatric, and cosmetic dermatology along with skin cancer screenings and treatment. The new medical practice is located at 220 Main Street, Suite 3A, Quarry Walk in Oxford, CT.

Dr. Kristin Torre, the lead Provider in Oxford, received her undergraduate degree in Biology from Boston College where she graduated with Summa Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa honors. She then completed her medical degree at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine where she was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society. Dr. Torre received her internship training from the Yale Internal Medicine program at Waterbury Hospital and then returned to the University of Connecticut to complete her dermatology residency. While there, she served as Chief Resident in her final year and published many peer-reviewed articles in leading dermatology journals. She is very excited to be practicing dermatology in her home state of Connecticut. For more information: https://dermatologyofct.com/about/our-providers/kristin-torre-md/
