St. Thomas the Apostle Offers Program for the Separated, Divorced

The program, called "New Life," consists of weekly meetings from 7-9 p.m.

If you are recently divorced or separated, you may need to give yourself some time to work through your loss and pain.

St. Thomas the Apostle Church is offering a program called “New Life.” It is a 10-week program designed for persons in the early stages of separation or divorce. This program offers a “safe place” for people to gain a perspective on their loss. Some of the topics that will be addressed in the program are self-image, stress, anger, blame and guilt, loneliness and how to move forward toward growth.

The program consists of one meeting each week from 7-9 p.m. for 10 weeks, plus exercises to be practiced between the sessions. If you are interested in attending, the first session will be on Tuesday, Oct. 4 at the church, 733 Oxford Rd., in the Parish Center's lower level. Registration is necessary to ensure that materials are available for all attendees. The cost is $10 for the book and supplies.
