Driver Seriously Injured After Car Hits House In Rocky Hill: Police
New details were released after a vehicle struck a fence surrounding a pool and then later struck a residential structure, police said.

ROCKY HILL, CT — Police shared new details regarding a collision involving a vehicle crashing into a house.
At 12:11 p.m. Saturday, police received 911 calls reporting a collision into a residential structure on Marshall Road.
Police found the driver had sustained serious injuries. Medical aid was rendered by police. Aetna Ambulance paramedics arrived and performed patient care and transported the person to a nearby hospital, police said.

The residential structure was unoccupied at the time of the crash and there were no other injuries reported, police said.
"A preliminary investigation determined the vehicle was traveling in a northern direction on Robbins Lane when it left the roadway and struck a fence surrounding a community pool on Marshall Road, " police said in a news release. "The vehicle evaded the scene of the initial collision and began to travel in a western direction on Marshall Road where it left the roadway and struck the residential structure."

The driver was seriously injured as a result of the collision but is expected to survive, police said.
