In Memoriam: Ernestine Weber McKinnon

The Rocky Hill resident passed away March 2 at the age of 86.

Ernestine Weber McKinnon, 86, of Rocky Hill, loving wife of the late James Joseph McKinnon Jr., and daughter of the late George and Ernestine Weber entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, (March 2, 2016) surrounded by her loving family.

Ernestine was welcomed into paradise by her Lord Jesus Christ; James, her loving husband of more than 65 years; Michelle Marie McKinnon, her granddaughter; and lifelong friend Beverly Hasbrouck.

Ernestine was born in New Haven.

She was a graduate of Simmons College in Boston MA. and raised her children in Wallingford and Rocky Hill. Her children and her grandchildren were the center of her life. She served as a Eucharistic Minister at Saint Elizabeth Seaton of Rocky Hill where she was also a founding member. Ernestine loved her UCONN Women Huskies!

Ernestine leaves behind her son James Joseph III and wife Joanne of Rocky Hill; her daughter Karen McKinnon Brown of Denver, CO; her daughter Catherine Mary McKinnon of Rocky Hill; her son George and his wife Marianne of Rocky Hill; her son Robert and his wife Kim of Marlborough; her son Father Michael and his wife Christine from Marlborough MA; her daughter Jodi Kealey from the Port; her grandchildren, James Joseph IV, Christine Marie, Kelly Marie, John Thomas, Jennifer Marie, Matthew James Peter, Megan Rose, Shaun Patrick, Katelynn Eileen, Brenna Catherine, Sarah Michele, Rebecca Michele, Jennifer Marlayne and four great grandchildren Hailey, Josslyn, Joseph and Nathan; special friends, Donald Hasbrouck and children Linda, Carol, Marry and Vicki; The Rev. Thomas Berberich, Phyllis and Bob Wilkey, Carmella Wormstead, Rev. Robert Burbank, Deacon Richard Santello, Gail T. Bellucci, Rev. James Shanley and numerous family and friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday at 11a.m. in St. Elizabeth Seton Church, 280 Brook St., Rocky Hill. Interment will follow in Center Cemetery, Rocky Hill. Friends are invited Saturday from 9-10:30 a.m. to the Guiliano-Sagarino Funeral Home at Brooklawn, 511 Brook St., Rocky Hill.

In lieu of flowers gifts in her memory may be made to Holy Trinity Anglican Church, c/o Fr. Michael J. McKinnon, 60 Gibbon Street, Marlborough, MA 01752.
