In Memoriam: Evelyn (Tabshey) Abraham

Evelyn (Tabshey) Abraham, devoted wife of 58 years to the late Joseph Abraham, passed away peacefully at the age of 97 in the comfort of her home Monday, January 25, 2016, with her beloved son Richard by her side.

Evelyn was the daughter of the late Nicholas and Anna Tabshey of Wethersfield.

Born in Waterbury CT, Evelyn lived much of her life in Wethersfield and then Rocky Hill over the past eight years.

She is predeceased by her devoted and beloved daughter Karen Abraham Oulundsen and is survived by her son Richard Abraham of Wethersfield, her son-in-law Donald Oulundsen and wife Audrey of Ellington, her three cherished grandchildren, Kristen Oulundsen of Manchester, Kevin Oulundsen and girlfriend Becca Cutkomp of Wethersfield and Kelley Thyrring and her husband Scott of Manchester and her two great-grandchildren Evan Pelotte and Kate Thyrring. Evelyn is also survived by her sister Theresa Tabshey of Rocky Hill, brother Robert Tabshey of Rocky Hill, sister-in-law Josephine Tabshey of Rocky Hill and many nieces, nephews and friends.

She cherished and loved spending time with her devoted caregiver Denise who made sure that Evelyn was cared for in every way. Evelyn lived a full, joyful life focused on her family. She loved watching her UCONN Huskies men and women’s teams, playing cards, cooking her family’s favorite Lebanese foods and spending many summers at her beach house at Black Point Beach in Niantic with her family and friends. She was a kind, strong and thoughtful person who always cared for many over the years. We are forever grateful for all the lives she touched over her long, happy life.

Funeral services and burial will be private.
