In Memoriam: Richard C. Sibley Sr.

Richard ‘Dick’ Charles Sibley Sr., 78, of Eustis, FL, passed away in Orlando, FL, on Sunday, January 24, 2016.

He was born in Worcester, MA, on December 24, 1937, to the late Helen Troy Sibley and Leonard Sibley Sr.

Richard previously lived in Windsor and Rocky Hill, and was married to and survived by Annie Sibley of Rocky Hill, and their children, Diahann Sibley-Messeguer and her husband, Manny Messeguer and their daughters, Gabriella and Victoria of Winter Garden, FL; his son Richard Sibley Jr. and wife, Jasmine Sibley and their children, Jocelyn, Rachel, and Richard III of Orlando, FL. Richard is survived by his brothers Leonard Sibley Jr. and wife, Marj of Hernando, FL, Gerald Sibley, Sr. and his wife, Maryanne, nephews Gerald Jr., Brian, and niece, Kimmy Sibley.

Richard served in the US Air Force, worked overseas for the company Bechtel, and was a Master Mechanic/Crane Operator and Supervisor for Local IUOE 478. He was passionate about basketball, football, and golf.

A Mass of Christian burial will be Saturday, Jan. 30 directly at St. Elizabeth Seton Church, 270 Brook St., Rocky Hill at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hartford. Friends are invited to Brooklawn Funeral Home 511 Brook St., Rocky Hill on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m.
