Celebrate Turkish Culture (And Coffee) In Southington
The Southington Public Library this weekend is hosting a program that takes a look at all things Turkish, including its famous coffee.

SOUTHINGTON, CT — One of the more unique Southington Public Library programs will take place this weekend, as the topic will be hot Turkish beverages and the diverse Turkish culture.
Representatives of the Peace Islands Institute will be at the library, located at 255 Main St., Southington, for a program called "Turkey Coffee Tasting & Culture."
The free event, with registration requested in advance, will take place from 2 to 3 p.m.

Based in New Jersey, the Peace Islands Institute is a national nonprofit emphasizing "cross-cultural conversations and friendship."
During Saturday's program, guests will learn about the culture of Turkey and sample Turkish coffee and tea, along with a variety of Turkish snacks and refreshments.
