Deadline Looms For Southington's Winter Clothing Drive

Southington's month-long coat collection drive for 'Operation Stay Warm' continues this week through Wednesday, April 30.

SOUTHINGTON, CT — If you're in the midst of spring cleaning and reorganizing your closet, there's still time to help out Southington Community Services' winter clothing drive.

Called "Operation Stay Warm," the program is the department's annual collection of gently used winter coats and attire.

Then, come wintertime, the items are redistributed into the local community through the department so folks struggling economically can have a means to stay warm.
