Drug Task Force Looks to Inspire with ‘Now or Later’
The program on Monday will challenge parents and students alike to change their future, overcome obstacles and addresses bullying, cyberbullying and more.

A presentation hosted by the Southington Drug Task Force on Monday will aim to combat bullying and motivate students and parents alike to make a better future for themselves and those around them.
‘Now or Later,’ a program open to the public, will take place on June 10 at DePaolo Middle School. Members of several areas community groups will be on hand to talk one-on-one with parents starting at 6:30 p.m. with a special movie from 7:15 p.m. to 8 p.m., according to School Superintendent Joseph V. Erardi Jr.
The goal of the program is three-fold, said task force member Trish Kenefick in a flyer. The goals are as follows:
1. Encourage communication between parents and children.
2. Get children ready for school in the fall.
3. To keep kids safe!
"In a culture that is always promising and often delivering new and better ways of doing things, there are some things that cannot change, and others that should not change," Kenefick said in the press release. "Many rules are really only about timing: 'Is this a good thing for now or is this something that will be better later'?"
