Police, who did not identify the male suspect, said the pair arrived together at CVS in a vehicle and entered the store.

The incident began when the male suspect made contact with a female employee seeking access to a locked fragrance display case, police said.

Once access was denied by the employee, Love confronted the employee, kicking and shoving her backward, police said in a release issued Tuesday, July 8.

"Love then forcefully removed a set of keys from a lanyard around the employee’s neck,
accessed the fragrance display, and loaded over $2,000 of merchandise into a large beach
bag," wrote the SPD.

Love and the male suspect then fled to their vehicle, which was identified to be a black
2017 Acura MDX bearing a Connecticut registration, and left the area, prompting a police
response, wrote the SPD.

Police said the CVS employee sustained minor injuries from the incident.

On Monday, June 23, at 12:25 p.m., officers were alerted that the aforementioned suspect vehicle was traveling in the area of Queen Street, police said.

According to the SPD, officers were able to locate the vehicle parked at Bob’s Discount Furniture parking lot at 835 Queen St.

Officers observed a female matching the description from the CVS incident exit the store with two large beach bags, which appeared to contain merchandise, police said.

Police said that as officers went to confront the female, she quickly entered her vehicle and fled the busy parking lot at a "high rate of speed."

"A pursuit prevention device was deployed by an officer within the lot, successfully disabling the suspect vehicle’s front passenger side tire as it fled northbound onto Queen Street," wrote Southington police.

A short while later, the suspect vehicle was located unoccupied and abandoned, parked in a nearby residential driveway, police said.

The vehicle was seized and later searched, following the execution of a search warrant.

It was confirmed, police said, that the female had stolen more than $200 in merchandise from TJ Maxx.

In the days that followed, arrest warrants were sought following the identification of Love.

On Monday, July 7, Love was taken into custody at New Britain Superior Court, where she was being arraigned for a previous robbery arrest.

Love was transported to Southington police headquarters, where she was processed accordingly and ultimately released after posting $100,000 bond.

Love is scheduled to appear in New Britain Superior Court on July 21.
