Marijuana-Growing Operation Found at Site of Southington Home Invasion
Southington Police are investigating the home invasion and shooting, and now the pot-growing operation where a 100+ plants were found.

The investigation into the Southington home invasion took a surprising twist when police discovered what they described as a “marijuana grow” in the basement of the victim’s home.
According to police, investigators “recovered from the home ... 105 marijuana plants, approximately 1.5 pounds of packaged marijuana and various pieces of marijuana growing equipment.”
Police were summoned to 735 Meriden Waterbury Tpke. at 6:41 p.m. Monday where Daniel Morin, 43, said three masked gunmen broke into his home. There was a struggle and Morin suffered a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to the arm, police have said.

Police said they discovered the marijuana-growing operation in the basement of the home during their investigation.
Police spokesman Lt. Michael Baribault said, “Nobody has been charged in either incident as of yet as they are both under investigation.”
