In Memoriam: Thomas Albert

The Southington resident passed away Dec. 28 at the age of 49.

Thomas Albert, 49, of the Plantsville section of Southington, passed away unexpectedly at home on Monday, Dec. 28, 2015 after a long illness.

He was the husband of Susan (Dzwonkowski) Albert.

Tom was born on April 28, 1966, the son of Claire (Scott) Albert of Southington and the late Arthur Albert.

He had been employed by Jet Tool & Cutter.

In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by his daughter Kaily Albert of Plantsville, 2 brothers Steven Albert of Northford and Douglas Albert of Southington, 6 sisters, Cheryl and husband John Walker of Old Lyme, Diane Wilson of FL, Denise and husband Larry Holyst of Southington, Alison Kuley of Winsted, Laurie and husband Brian Derynioski of Southington and Susan and husband Billy Colon of NC. He also leaves many nieces and nephews. Tom also leaves behind his in-laws, Richard and Teddie Dzwonkowski and his sister-in-law, Karla Dzwonkowski, all of New Britain, as well as his faithful companion, Chi Chi.

He was predeceased by his brother-in-law Randy Kuley.

Tom had a special love for his family and friends and always put their needs ahead of his own. He enjoyed woodworking, drawing and riding his Harley Davidson.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 5, at 6:30 p.m. at the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St., Southington, Calling hours will be on Tuesday from 3 to 6 p.m.
