Scout Gives Southington FD Garden A Much-Needed Makeover
The Eagle Scout candidate led a project Saturday to clean up a garden dedicated to honoring fallen firefighters.
SOUTHINGTON, CT — Thanks to a local Eagle Scout candidate, a portion of the Southington Fire Department honoring fallen firefighters has received a much-needed makeover.
According to the SFD, local scout Calvin Vance and Boy Scout Troop 45 recently cleaned up and restored the department's Firefighter Memorial Garden at the fire department's headquarters at 310 North Main St.
"Calvin chose the cleanup and restoration of the Firefighter Memorial garden at Southington Fire Headquarters as his Eagle Scout Project," the SFD said on Saturday, May 10.
