The Southington Police Department did very well over the weekend in the 'Battle of the Badges' weightlifting competition.

Last Saturday, April 26, four Southington Police Department officers competed in the annual "Battle of the Badges" bench press competition at Universal Fitness in Watertown.

And let's just say, the competing officers lifted more than just the spirits of their community. They lifted a lot of weight.
For the men's team division, Southington police officers Eric Medina, Justin Waltzer, and Logun Boulanger took home third place.

Meanwhile, Officer Morgan Cassiliano was the first-place finisher in the women's individual bench press competition.
The event was held in honor of Southington resident and fallen Connecticut State Police Trooper Aaron Pelletier, who was killed in the line of duty last year.
