Southington Seeks New Election Workers

The town this week put out a call for folks looking to work the polls during elections this year.

SOUTHINGTON, CT — With democracy becoming more and more of an issue these days, the Town of Southington is on the lookout for folks to help keep it going locally.

The Town of Southington this week put out a call for folks to become election workers for the upcoming municipal elections this year.

Town officials said they're specifically looking for folks to work from Oct. 20 to Nov. 5, with training provided and pay based on each day of work.

Elections this year are for Southington's major boards and commissions, such as the town council and the school board, among other offices.

Anyone interested in becoming a poll worker is asked to call the Southington Registrars of Voters Office at 860-276-6268 or email FlynnJ@Southington.org. The registrar's office is located at 75 Main St., Southington.
