Southington Teen To Fill Her Pink Pickup For Those In Need
She is hosting a 'Stuff-A-Truck' collection event Sunday, July 6, to benefit Southington Community Services.

SOUTHINGTON, CT — A local teen is helping her hometown by collecting items for the needy this weekend, hoping to fill up her beloved pink pickup truck in the process.
Miss Southington Vashty Stanley, a teen volunteer, is organizing a "Stuff-A-Truck" collection drive on Sunday, July 6, to benefit Southington Community Services. It will take place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. that day.

Folks are asked to stop by 2223 Meriden-Waterbury Turnpike in Southington and help Vashty stuff her pink truck with non-perishable food items to restock the shelves at Southington Community Services.
"Come meet Vashty and support our friends and neighbors," wrote the Southington Chamber of Commerce. "Vashty is a recent graduate pursuing a career in real estate. She is a member of the Southington Chamber of Commerce Women’s Leadership Network and also serves on the Chamber Community Care Committee."

Southington Community Services needs toiletries, toilet paper, children’s snacks, boxed macaroni and cheese, canned tuna, and similar items like cereal and canned food.
