Southington Will Be Sued in Fatal Hit-and-Run Case
The estate of Yang Qiao "Joanne" Chen will sue the town for failing to clear the sidewalks of snow, according to the Hartford Courant.

The town of Southington will be sued in connection to a fatal hit-and-run case that occurred in February, the Hartford Courant reports.
The estate of the deceased Yang Qiao "Joanne" Chen announced that they intend to sue Southington for damages because the town failed to keep the sidewalk cleared of snow, according to the Courant.
Chen was hit by a truck on the night of Feb. 12 while walking home from work on Queen Street, the Courant reports. She and two co-workers were forced to walk on the shoulder of the road due to the snowy sidewalks, said attorney Marc Ubaldi in the Courant article.
