Talk Books While Devouring Bagels At Southington Library Event

The Southington Public Library's popular 'Books & Bagels' program is on Thursday, May 15, with registrants still being sought.

SOUTHINGTON, CT — Local literary buffs are invited to a special Southington Public Library program on Thursday, May 15, that combines books with a certain beloved, ringed breakfast item.

Called "Books & Bagels,"registrants are being sought for the free event, which will take place at 10 a.m. at the new Southington Public Library, 255 Main St.

The program is a simple one, with folks gathering to talk about what they're reading and to recommend other books to read.

And they do so over bagels, coffee, tea, and/or hot chocolate, which is provided by the library.

"Join us as we informally discuss our favorite books and get recommendations from fellow reading enthusiasts," wrote the library in an announcement.
