TONIGHT: Southington To Mull School Roof Projects, Open Space Purchase
The Southington Town Council is hosting a public hearing on those two items tonight, Aug. 11, with action on both possible.

SOUTHINGTON, CT — A public hearing on two key Southington ordinances will take place tonight, one of replacing several school roofs and the other on acquiring more open space in town.
The Southington Town Council will host a public hearing in the Public Assembly Room of the John Weichsel Municipal Center, 200/l96 N. Main St., Southington.
It will take place at 7 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 11.

• An ordinance appropriating and bonding $6.6 million to repair and replace the roofs at Southington's Hatton Elementary School, William Strong Elementary School, and Reuben E. Thalberg Elementary School.
• An ordinance appropriating and bonding $2 million to acquire land for open space.
