Water Service Disruptions Announced In Southington, Who's affected?

Southington's water department is replacing a large water tank, which could result in service issues for many for two months.

SOUTHINGTON, CT — With the town already approving an overhaul of Southington Water Department sewer/water lines in some areas, the department this week has another project ongoing.

The department (aka "Southington Water Works") announced a tank replacement project in one neighborhood that, for a couple of months, could impact water service.

According to Southington Water Works, the so-called "Village Gate" tank located in the southeast part of town is out of service for rehab as part of the department's regular tank maintenance program.

"As a result, during this period, customers within this pressure zone may experience periods of low pressure," wrote Southington Water Works on Thursday. "We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause."

The following streets will be impacted: Beechwood Drive; Blatchley Avenue; Blocher Farm Place; Bridle Path Drive; Claudia Drive; Evan Road; Faye Lane; Glenn Drivel Hillcrest Villagel Jade Circle; Jeremy Woods Drive; Kiefer Road; Masthey Circle; Meriden Avenue (South Beechwood Drive); Meriden Waterbury Turnpike (Sultana to Meriden Avenue); McKenzie Drive; Orchard Lanel Paul Heights; Pratt Street; Ruy Lane; Savage Street; Scarano Drive; Shweky Lane; Steeplechase Drive; Sultana Terrace; Village Gate Drive; Webster Park Road; and Woodland Drive.
