25-Year-Old Arrested After DUI Crash In South Windsor
The incident happened last fall on Sullivan Avenue, South Windsor police said.
SOUTH WINDSOR, CT — A 25-year-old Portland man was taken into custody this week on an active warrant tied to a 2025 crash involving an impaired driver, according to the South Windsor Police Department.
Police said Tyler S. Landon turned himself in at police headquarters at about 10:41 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 7, and was taken into custody on a warrant stemming from a motor vehicle crash last September.
According to police, the investigation determined Landon was driving a truck that left the roadway and struck a Hartford HealthCare sign at 1559 Sullivan Ave. after he lost control of the vehicle. Officers later determined Landon was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash.

Landon faces multiple charges, including operating under the influence, failure to drive in the proper lane, failure to renew registration, improper marker plate, and failure to display plates.
He was processed and released on a $2,500 non-surety bond, police said.

Landon is scheduled to appear in Manchester Superior Court on Monday, Jan. 26, 2026, at 9 a.m.
All charges are allegations. The defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in court.
