Fire Department Collecting for Family Displaced by Somers Fire

Friends are asking for help for the young Somers family whose home was destroyed by fire Dec. 4.

According to Ellington-Somers Patch, the family, 30-year-old Katie Colgan and her 7-year-old daughter, Kerra, were rescued from their burning home and have recovered but now have nothing. 

The local fire department is collecting clothing, groceries, gift cards and all of the basic needs. This family is also looking for a new place to rent in Somers.
