Fournier Honored At South Windsor Town Council Meeting

South Windsor resident Allyson Fournier was honored at the Town Council meeting on Monday.

Fournier, a rising junior at Tufts University, was selected for the Honda Sports Award as the Division III Athlete of the Year.

Fournier, a pitcher, had an incredible season for the Jumbos, leading them to the Division III National Championship.

She is a 2011 graduate of East Catholic High in Manchester.

"I want to thank the town of South Windsor," Fournier said, noting that she played in the town's Little League until age 13.
