From the Town: Keep Road Clear of Items

Trash containers, basketball hoops, etc. should be kept out of the roadway.

A quick reminder to all residents regarding the placement of items in the roadway.

As we approach winter and the inevitable snow storms, we remind residents that the refuse and recycling containers must be placed at the curb no more than three feet from the curb or edge of the road on your normal scheduled day for collection.

Please DO NOT place containers in the streets, behind parked cars or other obstructions.  Also, please make sure to remove basketball hoops off the roadway.

Placing the containers or basketball hoops on the streets narrows the roads for traffic flow which may lead to having it damaged from autos or during snow removal.

While the containers are the property of the contractor, property owners are responsible for any damage to the containers.  Placing the containers in the streets can result in damage.  Property owners shall be held accountable for any damage to the containers resulting from their negligence or abuse.
