Vernon Police are investigating a second bank robbery in a month's time at a bank in the Tri-City Plaza shopping center.
Police spokesman Lt. William Meier said that on Friday, just when the bank opened, the suspect entered the bank and claimed to have a bomb.
Meier said police said they are still sorting out what might have been taken from the bank, but said the suspect stole an employees's car. The car was located but police are still searching for the suspect, he said.
The bank was also robbed on May 25. Meier said more details would be released to the public as the investigation progresses.
