So now it's completely official.
The Dairy Queen Grill and Chill had its ribbon cutting ceremony on Tuesday with the Chamber of Commerce, marking the official opening of the eatery on Sullivan Avenue.
Mayor Tom Delnicki quipped that for 14 years, South Windsor residents had to go to East Hartford or Manchester for their Dairy Queen delights.
Delnicki also noted the opening of the "South Windsor Country Club " aka the miniature golf course in back.
"You have done a tremendous job renovating and improving [the location]," Delnicki said.
