South Windsor Patch Editor Decides Not To Hijack Cupcake Van

Never have I been more tempted to commit a felony than when I saw the Sugarbelle van pull into the Timothy Edwards Middle School parking lot.

Sugarbelle is a specialty cupcake shop that has three locations, including one at 454 Ellington Road in South Windsor. The other two are in Glastonbury and West Hartford.

As everyone knows, there are but three certainties in life: death, taxes and cupcakes are freakin' delicious.

When I informed Officer Caleb Lopez, who was on duty at the middle school, that I planned on hijacking the cupcake van, Lopez one-upped me.

"Not if I do it first," he said.

Sugarbelle is open five days a week, Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Thursdays and Fridays from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
