South Windsor Police: Babysitter Took Cash, Jewelry, Blank Checks from Family's Home
Laura Jasak-Luther was charged with larceny in the fifth degree.

A family’s relative who was babysitting was charged by South Windsor Police on Tuesday for having taken cash, jewelry and blank checks from the family’s home.
Laura Jasak-Luther, 32, of Vernon, was charged with larceny in the fifth degree and was later released on $1,000 non-surety bond.
The value of the items removed from the home, according to South Windsor police, totaled $570. The investigating officer found Jasak-Luther at her Vernon home and recovered some of the cash and jewelry, police spokesperson Sgt. Scott Custer said.

Jasak-Luther is scheduled to appear in Superior Court in Manchester on July 11.
