South Windsor police are searching for a suspect who stole $20 in cash from the Hong Kong House last week.

South Windsor police are searching for a suspect who stole a tip jar from the Hong Kong House on Sullivan Ave. last week.

According to a press release from Sgt. Scott Custer, the suspect allegedly made away with about $20 cash from the restaurant on July 14 around 5:40 p.m.

The suspect is described as a black male, medium build, about 25 years old, 5 ft. 8 inches tall, wearing dark jeans and a dark shirt, according to the press release.

After he took the tip jar, the man got into into a silver vehicle waiting in the parking area of Dairy Queen, police said. The vehicle then fled westbound on Sullivan Avenue.
