South Windsor's Savidge to Take Part in Swim Across America
Event will take place this Saturday.

South Windsor’s Kyle Savidge, a rising senior at Tufts University, will take part this Saturday in Swim Across America, Boston at Nantasket Beach in Hull.
Savidge, who is the captain of the Jumbos’ men’s swimming and diving team, will join his fellow teammates in the one-mile swim for the third straight year.
The event is a fundraiser for the Massachusetts General Hospital for Children Cancer Center and The David Perini Quality of Life Clinic at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.

Savidge said that it’s a Tufts swimming and diving team tradition to participate in the event.
“The whole point is to raise money for Dana Faber,” said Savidge, whose brother Tim will join him on the Tufts swimming and diving team as a first-year student in the fall.
