  3. The town of Killingworth is expected to receive the second half of its $1.8 million in federal stimulus money this month. According to a Middletown Press article, "The Economic Recovery Committee recommended that about $87,000 of the town’s remaining ARPA funds be disbursed to three local organizations: $10,000 to the Middlesex Chamber of Commerce in Middletown, about $67,000 to the Killingworth Ambulance Assoc., and $10,000 to the Shoreline Soup Kitchen of Essex. At its July 11 meeting, the Board of Selectmen unanimously voted to forward the recommendation to the Board of Finance, which has yet to discuss the matter. If approved by the Board of Finance, the recommendations will be subject to a roll call vote during a town meeting in September." Be sure to be there to vote! (Middletown Press)
