Parents in East Lyme can mark the first day of school coming later this summer.
EAST LYME, CT — Back-to-school planning has already begun in East Lyme, with calendars available to help parents prepare for the first day in East Lyme Public Schools.
The first day of school for most students in East Lyme is Aug. 28, according to the 2023-2024 district calendar.
Heading into the upcoming school year, some dates are subject to change. Here is the list of dates to know for this school year:

East Lyme Public Schools
- First Day: Aug. 28
- Thanksgiving Break: Nov. 22 through Nov. 24
- Winter Break: Dec. 22 (early dismissal) through Jan. 1
- Spring Break: April 8 through April 12
- Last Day: June 13 (half day)
