Beloved Beaches of Niantic
Today, we have three clever depictions that focus on the beaches that we in Niantic and Flanders value so dearly. Katie Francis of Niantic has memorialized what the trees will look like on Opening Night at Buoys by the Bay, which will be located at the Park that fronts the Railroad Beach.
On the second buoy, Mercedes Overcash of Waterford has shown Santa, about to stroll barefoot along Crescent Beach. The third buoy by Mary and Stu McKenna of Niantic recalls the long list of their “Boardwalk Buddies”. How our town has been enhanced by the creation of the Boardwalk which brings pleasure to thousands of occasional visitors and many daily “boardwalk buddies”.
