BUOYS TO USHER IN THE HOLIDAYS
Buoys by the Bay, is all about the Holiday Season. Today, we spotlight one buoy with decoupaged scenes reflecting holiday memories of picking out and transporting home a special Christmas tree. This submission is by Kim MacDonald of Niantic.
Heather Ruszczyk of Oakdale has commemorated a special movie, Polar Express, in which a young boy is transported on a magical trip that urges children and adults to “Believe”.

Matt Cecil of Groton has depicted a whimsical view of Santa and his dog in the sleigh. On the back, we see the cherished reindeer, waiting for that fateful night.
- We are delighted that many of the buoys have been decorated by people who live in many neighboring communities.
Opening Night will be on Nov. 22, 2024. If you haven’t been able to finish for the Nov. 15 deadline, whenever you finish, (try hard to make it as soon as possible), hand in your buoy where you purchased it. Although it may not get hung on a tree by Opening Night, we will do our best to hang it as soon as we can. These Holiday Seasons Buoys will help to get us in the Holiday Spirit.
