Celebrate the Season with Art, Music, and Family Fun at the Lyme Art Association
Festive exhibitions and events for all ages

This holiday season, the Lyme Art Association invites the community to celebrate art and togetherness with a series of festive exhibitions and events for all ages. From November 14 - January 1, visitors can enjoy four new exhibitions—Deck the Walls, Inside Story, Faripour Forouhar’s solo show, A Life’s Journey Through Paintings, and the 3-D pieces from the Society of Connecticut Sculptors—offering an inspiring mix of fine art, sculpture, and unique gift opportunities. The opening reception for all the shows is Sunday, November 23, from 2–4pm, free and open to the public.
Adding to the festive spirit, the Lyme Art Association is hosting Sounds of the Season, a live music series to fill the historic galleries with holiday cheer. While strolling through the galleries, visitors will be serenaded by melodies of John Brown on Saturday, November 29 from 1–3pm; The Christmas Fiddles on Saturday, December 6 from 1–3pm; and Kipp Sturgeon on Saturday, December 13 from 2–4pm. Plus, throughout the season, the gallery is offering warm drinks, cookies, and hands-on art activities each weekend to create a welcoming space for holiday gatherings and quiet moments alike.
Families are especially invited to the gallery for Represent! LAA’s Family Art Program on Saturday, December 13 from 12:30–2pm, featuring Juana Martinez-Neal, illustrator of A Gift of Dust: How Saharan Plumes Feed the Planet. Juana will talk about her experiences working with Wild Tomorrow and Children’s Book Creators for Conservation in Africa. Juana’s presentation is followed by a story time for kids, and a holiday art activity.
