Fall is here, and so is Live & in Color! Our artists are prepping to head to the Bingham Camp, bringing theatre that will inspire and entertain.

Earlier this year, L&IC announced two works selected for development: Vaibu Mohan’s commissioned play, Bound To You, recipient of the 2025 June Bingham New Playwright Commission, and Jesse J. Sanchez’s Zapata: A Folklorico Superhero Musical. This September, both projects will be workshopped in an immersive retreat setting, culminating in presentations for invited audiences.

Reserve tickets for:
BOUND TO YOU by Vaibu Mohan on 9/4 at 7:00pm.

There is a devil that lives on your shoulders, and it's telling you to let go of yourself and your inhibitions. Bound To You, is inspired by the tales of Vikramaditya and the Vetala, is a surrealist exploration of what it means to be a woman, the pressures placed on us and that we place on ourselves, and how unleashing inhibitions can ultimately free us to make friends (or make love) with the demon on your shoulders.

ZAPATA: A FOLKLORICO SUPERHERO MUSICAL by Jesse J. Sanchez on 9/6 at 3:00 pm & Sunday 9/7 at 2:00 pm. (Family friendly - bring students and kids!)

Zapata is a brand-new family musical in the spirit of animated favorites like Coco and Moana—filled with music, culture, and family bonds.

Set in the present day, this musical follows sixteen-year-old Xochitl Fernandez, who discovers she shares a family superpower—the power of Zapata! With her talking chihuahua, Chicalinga, at her side, Xochitl sets out to rescue her mother from the villain Helado and his mischievous gatito army. Along the way, folklorico dance itself becomes her key to unlocking her strength. It’s adventurous, funny, heartfelt—and an inspiring story for young audiences
