A cyclist was struck by a car on Shore Road at about 6:30 p.m. The car fled after striking the victim. A man who was biking with the victim said the car was probably going 50 mph when it veered into the break down lane and hit him. The victim survived but suffered numerous injuries, including a gash on his head.
