Sing With Simon Vocal Workshop For Novice To Seasoned Singers June 17

OLD LYME, CT —Cappella Cantorum is hosting SING WITH SIMON, a vocal workshop for novice and seasoned singers, Saturday, June 17, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at First Church of Christ in Old Saybrook.

Novices and seasoned singers alike will enjoy singing together in a relaxed, fun atmosphere
while improving vocal skills, sight-reading, and ear training. This professionally led, one-day
workshop is a unique learning experience designed and conducted by Simon Holt, Music
Director of Cappella Cantorum and the First Congregational Church of Old Lyme, as well as the
Founder and Artistic Director of Salt Marsh Opera.

All singers age 13 and up are welcome; no auditions or choir membership required. The cost for
the workshop is $50, which includes all materials and lunch. Deadline for workshop registration
is June 16. In addition, private voice lessons will be offered during the workshop by soprano
soloist and voice teacher Megan Weikleenget at the rate of $30 for a 30-minute lesson.

About Cappella Cantorum

Established in 1970, Cappella Cantorum is a non-auditioned community choral group that
provides singers of all ages the opportunity to learn, perform, and share great choral music. In
addition to twice yearly concerts and an annual Handel’s Messiah Sing or Listen, the group
promotes music education and appreciation through its SummerSings program, vocal training
workshops, and other events open to the public.
